At temples

A shawl does a lot of work.

  • Shoulders and knees covered. A light shawl or sarong in your daypack covers both.
  • Shoes and hats come off before you enter. Easy sandals help.
  • Photos with a Buddha statue are taken facing it, never with your back to it.
